2009

Advanced Excavating Specialists started in Kalama in 2009 as a construction general contractor, specializing in: underground utility installation, commercial and industrial site work packages, road building, rail/track work, demolition, and municipal public works.

AES moved to Longview in 2012 and slowly outgrew the small office and shop space. In 2021 AES moved to the Kelso Headquarters which still houses our entire office and shop staff. We have continued to grow and take on large scale industrial, municipal and commercial projects. We are licensed, bonded, and insured to work in Washington, Oregon and Montana.

AES is a member of ISNetworld – a global resource for connecting corporations with safe, reliable contractors from capital intensive industries. ISN collects health and safety data designed to meet governmental record keeping and Owner Client requirements. AES also uses ISNetworld to manage internal training and our complex safety program. Advanced Excavating Specialists is also a member of the Lower Columbia Contractors Association and the Cowlitz County Utilities Coordinating Council.

With over 50 years combined local construction experience, our management team is 100% committed to providing our services with quality and pride while keeping safety as our highest priority. We stand behind the work of our accomplished foremen, operators, and laborers. AES will continue to offer the highest quality construction experience, from small residential to large scale multi-million-dollar projects.
